Lang Activated Off Injured Reserve

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, the ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League, has announced defenseman Jeff Lang has been activated off the seven-day injured reserve and rookie defenseman Eric Main has been placed on the three-day injured reserve list.

Lang, 24, is scheduled to return to the lineup for tonight's game between the Thunder and Bakersfield Condors. The Westwood, Massachusetts native has appeared in 33 games this season for the Thunder, scoring 15 points (4g-11a) along with a +1 rating.

Lang, scored 14 points (4g-10a) in 24 games with the Thunder in 2005-06, leading the team with a + 7 rating. Originally acquired from the Toledo Storm on February 21, 2006 in exchange for the rights to Mike Knight, Lang totaled 39 points (7g-32a) in 68 games during his 2005-06 ECHL rookie campaign, splitting time between Toledo and the Thunder.

Main, 23, has appeared in 21 games for the Thunder this season, scoring two goals while amassing a +4 rating.

The Thunder returns to play tonight against Bakersfield, with a 7:00 p.m. road game scheduled at Rabobank Arena. The game can be heard live on the internet (free-of-charge) and is available for viewing for a $6 "pay-per-view" charge at www.stocktonthunder.com (courtesy of B2 Networks).
