Ontario, California - The Utah Grizzlies (12-6-3-1) and goaltender J.P. Lamoureux shutout the Ontario Reign 1-0 Friday night at the Citizens Business Bank Arena.

Simon Ferguson (3) smacked home a power-play goal 12:37 into the second period to give Utah the only goal that they would need. Brad Snetsinger and Brett Parnham picked up assists as the Grizzlies controlled the puck and finally got their score with one second left on the power-play.

Lamoureux stopped 13 of his 26 shots in the third period to preserve the win as Utah killed all three shorthanded situations in the third period.

Utah outshot the Reign 34-26, including 27-13 in the first two periods.

Utah completes their road trip Saturday in Stockton. Face-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.

The Grizzlies open a five-game in eight-day home stand Wednesday, December 15 with Las Vegas. All games are scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m.
