
McNeill Recalled to AHL

South Carolina Stingrays News Release
North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Cail MacLean announced today that forward Grant McNeill has been called up to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.
McNeill, 27, skated in one game with the Stingrays scoring one goal and recorded two penalty minutes. During the 2007-08 season, the Vermillion, AB native dressed in 57 games with the Stingrays acquiring 11 points (4g, 7a) and 213 PIM.
A member of the 2008-09 and 2009-10 Calder Cup championship teams, McNeill spent the past three seasons with the Bears appearing in 72 games netting five goals and three assists for eight points. In addition to Hershey, McNeill also spent time in the AHL with the San Antonio Rampage, Rochester Americans and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
A third round draft pick by the Florida Panthers in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, McNeill played four seasons with the WHL's Prince Albert Raiders, collecting 32 points (11g, 21a) and 929 penalty minutes in 260 junior contests.
The Stingrays complete their season series against the Reading Royals on Saturday, December 11 at 1:05 p.m. at the Sovereign Center.
