Grizzlies Assigned Daley

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH - The Utah Grizzlies announced today that their National Hockey League affiliate, the Dallas Stars, have assigned defenseman Trevor Daley to the Grizzlies.

Daley, 19, played in six games during the Stars training camp totaling three points (1-2 - 3). The 5-9, 197-pound defenseman tied for the team defensemen lead in goals, assists and points during the preseason.

Originally a second round selection (43rd overall) of the Stars in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Daley has played the last four seasons with Sault Ste. Marie (OHL). Last season with the Greyhounds, Daley scored 20 goals and had 33 assists finishing fourth on the team with 53 points.

The Grizzlies open the season Friday night versus San Antonio at the 'E' Center. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
