
Florio hits the air on Thursday

FLORENCE, SC â The Florence Pride, proud members of the ECHL, announced today that the team will have a weekly radio appearance throughout the season on Qantum Communications.
Pride Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Perry Florio will make the first appearance of the season this Thursday, October 9, at 7:15 a.m. Players and staff members will appear on Qantum's stations each Thursday morning throughout the season.
"The Pride are thrilled that Qantum Communications is giving the team the opportunity to have these weekly radio appearances," Pride Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations Joe Babik said. "Our fans will be able to hear these appearances on Qantum's Florence stations: 103X, Sunny 105.5, Eagle 92.9, and WSQN 92.9"
The Pride's 2003-2004 season opens this weekend with a pair of pre-season games against the Columbia Inferno. The two teams will play in Columbia on Friday, before facing off at the Lion's Den on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the Florence Civic Center Box Office, all TicketMaster outlets, by phone at (843) 679-9333 or on-line at www.ticketmaster.com.
Florence opens the regular season on Friday, October 17, at Columbia. The home opener is Saturday, October 18 at 7:30, also against the Inferno. The first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive Cheer Sticks, courtesy of Carolina Custom Truck Accessories. The Pride are also home on Sunday, October 19, hosting the Florida Everblades at 2:30 p.m. Tickets for all kids 12 and under are only $2.50 for every Sunday home game this season, and kids' meals are available for just $2.50.
