Grizzlies Acquire Defenseman Mike Garrow

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH * The Utah Grizzlies announced today that they have received on loan defenseman Mike Garrow from the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks. Garrow has been playing in the ECHL this season with both San Diego and Mississippi.

Garrow, 29, has played in 23 career games with the Grizzlies between 2001-03 and posted two goals with five assists and 14 penalty minutes. The 6-1, 210-pound blueliner has spent most of his professional career with the San Diego Gulls of both the West Coast Hockey League and the ECHL where he posted impressive numbers scoring 31 goals with 72 assists.

This season, the Kenora, Ontario native played in 46 games with San Diego (8-21 *29) before being traded to Mississippi (ECHL) on March 8. In three games with Mississippi, Garrow notched a pair of helpers.

The Grizzlies conclude a six-game home stand tomorrow night when they host the Houston Aeros at the ?E? Center with face-off scheduled for 7:05 PM.
