SAN ANTONIO – Mar. 18, 2005 – The San Antonio Rampage announced today that their St. Patrick's Day themed hockey jerseys raised $9,425 at the team's jersey auction held after the Friday, March 11 game against the Cleveland Barons. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Spurs Foundation, which will go towards purchasing Rampage tickets for underserved area youth.

Rampage rookie Rob Globke, who attended Notre Dame, brought in the highest bid at $1,000. Center Greg Jacina earned the second highest at $900 and defenseman Lukas Krajicek garnered $550.

Rampage center Serge Payer's jersey was also auctioned off to benefit his foundation, the Serge Payer Foundation, which helps raise money for research and treatment for Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS)—a disorder in which the body's immune system attacks part of the peripheral nervous system. Payer has been injured most of the season and did not play, but his jersey raised $1,700.

In total, the Rampage have raised $78,175 for local charities after five auctions. On March 5, the Rampage made history by donning Spurs themed jerseys and raised $18,700 for the Bruce Bowen Foundation.

The bidding for the first four auctions took place at the Express-News Headlines in the SBC Center after the games ended, while the St. Patrick's auction was held at local restaurant Crabby Jacks.
