Hershey Bears News Release

HERSHEY trails Wilkes-Barre/Scranton by seven points for a playoff spot in the East Division with a tough task looming tonight at Binghamton against the Senators.

The BEARS have 15 regular season games remaining, with another East Division matchup on Sunday against Wilkes-Barre at GIANT Center. Binghamton center Jason Spezza enters tonight's contest with 92 points to lead the American Hockey League. The Senators have only lost six games in regulation at home this season. Tonight's game is the second meeting in Binghamton between the Sens and BEARS, with Binghamton edging HERSHEY at Broome County back on October 22 by a score of 3-2. The teams have each won two of the first four encounters in 2004-05, with one game to go after tonight in the six-game season series. The BEARS return to New York's southern tier on April 16.

Tonight's game can be heard on the BEARS radio network. John Walton calls the action from Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena beginning at 6:45 p.m.
