11th Annual Matinee Game Presented by Lake Michigan Credit Union

Time: Noon at Van Andel Arena (doors open at 11 a.m.).

11th Annual Matinee Game: Sponsored by Lake Michigan Credit Union, the Griffins' annual matinee game has become a major educational event for West Michigan schools. Approximately 5,000 students and teachers will arrive at 10 a.m. to take part in many unique learning experiences. Elementary kids will discover topics centered on science, technology, engineering and mathematics through interactive displays and hands-on activities set up by Grand Valley State University. In addition, several speakers will educate high school students on various opportunities. Lake Michigan Credit Union's director of business development and community involvement, Vickie Smith, will discuss financial responsibility following high school and share information about the 2012 LMCU Hutt Scholarship. John E. Weitzel, Western Michigan University's master faculty specialist, will discuss career opportunities in the fields of marketing and advertising. Matinee Bingo: Now in its third year during the matinee game, the Griffins will welcome over 200 senior citizens for bingo in the banquet rooms from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Bingo is free and prizes include Griffins memorabilia and various gifts from our sponsors.

Winning Wednesday: All fans who were in attendance for the season's first Winning Wednesday presented by Amway on Nov. 2 can redeem their ticket stubs for free tickets to this game, courtesy of the Griffins' 3-0 win over the Lake Erie Monsters that night. Additionally, if the Griffins beat the Rockford IceHogs, every fan in attendance may redeem their ticket stubs for a free ticket to the Griffins game on Wednesday, Nov. 23 against Hamilton. If the Griffins win, the box office will be open following the game for redemptions. Fans may also redeem their stubs at The Zone during business hours (M-F 10-6; Sat. 10-2) and at the box office the night of Nov. 23.

Library Day: Fans who present their Grand Rapids Public Library card or Kent District Library card at the Van Andel Arena box office on the day of the game or at The Zone anytime during the store's regular business hours to save $7 off the price of a Lower Level Faceoff ticket (regularly $18 in advance and $20 day of game). Limit four tickets per card per person, subject to availability.MOS Corner Office: Presented by Michigan Office Solutions, this section, located on the terrace level above section 118, provides the best seats in the house for groups of up to 30 people, with La-Z-Boy chairs and an array of unprecedented amenities. Advance ticket prices are $14, $16 and $18 in the arena's upper level, and $18, $22, $26 and $32 in the lower level. (Additional $2 per ticket on day of game.) For Sunday-Thursday games, a limited number of advance-purchase, upper level tickets will go on sale for just $8 one week prior to each contest.
