The Greenville Drive scored seven runs in the eighth inning to wipe out a five-run Lexington lead, and went on to beat the Legends 8-6 Monday night at Fluor Field in Greenville.

Lexington held a 6-1 lead going into the bottom of the eighth, but a three-run homer by Ronald Bermudez and a two-run blast by Kenneth Roque tied the game. Wilfred Pichardo followed with a single, stole second, went to third on Derrik Gibson's single and scored on an infield out to give Greenville the lead. Gibson, who had advanced to second as Pichardo scored, stole third and scored the final run on a wild pitch by Lexington reliever Mike Schurz.

The Legends took an early 5-0 lead with one run in the first inning and four more in the second, helped by a Greenville error in each inning and a two-run double by Jake Goebbert in the second.

Lexington added a run in the sixth. With one out, Grant Hogue was hit by a pitch, stole second, and scored on a two-out single by Jiovanni Mier for the Legends' final run.

Jordan Flasher (2-0) got the win after pitching the seventh and eighth innings. Schurz (0-1), who relieved Jose Trinidad after Bermudez homered in the eighth, took the loss. Lexington starter Jose Cisnero allowed only one hit in six shutout innings.

The Drive have taken the first three games in the series, which ends tomorrow night with a 7 p.m. game.
