MILWAUKEE - Led by Petr Mrazek's 24 save performance, the Grand Rapids Griffins increased its winning streak to seven games following a 4-0 win over Milwaukee Admirals Friday at BMO Harris Bradley Center.

The Griffins' seventh straight win is tied for the fifth longest streak in franchise history. The Griffins have also won six straight road games, one shy of the franchise record set between 10/16/14-12/3/14.

Mrazek has won his sixth straight game in a Griffins uniform, including four in a row since returning from Detroit earlier this month.

Grand Rapids (32-17-5-1) will attempt to finish the month of February without a regulation loss (9-0-2-0) tomorrow night when they face Chicago at 8 pm EST.

Marek Tvrdon's seventh goal of the season opened the scoring for the Griffins at 16:21 of the first period when he got open behind the Admirals defense and took a pass from Scott Czarnowczan at the far side of the net behind Marek Mazanec for the easy tap-in.

Following a scoreless second period, the Griffins exploded for three goals in the final frame. The first goal came at 4:34 when Tomas Nosek scored a shorthanded goal. His sixth goal of the season came when he put a backhand shot around a sliding Mazanec.

The Griffins made it 3-0 later in the period when Xavier Ouellet flicked a long pass over the Milwaukee defense towards a streaking Jeff Hoggan, who wristed a shot off Mazanec's glove into the net. The captain's goal at 11:08 was his eighth tally of the season.

Landon Ferraro's 22nd goal of the campaign rounded out the scoring with an empty-net goal at 18:48.

Mazanec faced the Griffins for the first time this season and made 28 saves. Both teams failed to score on four power play chances apiece.

Tonight's win increased the Griffins' Midwest Division lead over third-place Milwaukee (29-17-4-4) to four points. Grand Rapids is still two points ahead of Rockford in the Midwest Division as they defeated Texas 4-3 in overtime. The Griffins and IceHogs next meet March 7 in Rockford, Ill.
