Comets to Raise Awareness for Oneida County Sheriff's Law Enforcement Foundation on Sunday
February 27, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Utica Comets News Release
This Sunday the Utica Comets will be raising awareness and funds for the Oneida County Sheriff's Law Enforcement Foundation during their game with the Hamilton Bulldogs at 4 p.m. The Comets will be wearing special silver and black uniforms with a Utica Comets "badge" on the chest in honor of the Oneida County Sheriff's Department.
The game is already sold out.
The special game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off to fans during future Comets games. A limited amount of "mystery pucks" will be available at the Fan Zone table while supplies last. Each puck, purchased at random, will feature an autograph from five different Comets players. All proceeds from the jersey auction, as well as the money raised from sale of the 50/50 tickets and any fan donations will be given to the Oneida County Sheriff's Law Enforcement Foundation.
The presenting sponsor of the game day event is New York State Tool. Additional sponsors include the Fountainhead Group, First Source Credit Union, Correctional Medical Care, and the "Save of the Day" Foundation.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Law Enforcement Foundation (OCSLEF) is a bold, new initiative that improves public service through community partnerships with local business, schools, colleges, and non-profit organizations. The partnerships created by the OCSLEF are intended to educate, promote, serve, and enhance public safety with our local citizens.
