
Canadiens Assign Christian Thomas to Bulldogs

MONTREAL, QUE. - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs general manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have assigned forward Christian Thomas to the Bulldogs.
Thomas has split this season between the Canadiens and Bulldogs. In 18 games with Montreal, he has recorded one goal and seven penalty minutes. In 31 games with Hamilton, he has recorded 15 points (nine goals, six assists) and 10 penalty minutes.
In 21 career National Hockey League regular season games with the Canadiens and New York Rangers, the 5-9, 179-pound forward has recorded one goal and seven penalty minutes. In 164 career American Hockey League regular season games with the Bulldogs and Connecticut Whale, the Toronto, Ont. native has recorded 79 points (40 goals, 39 assists) and 47 penalty minutes.
The 22-year-old was originally selected by the Rangers in the second round (40th overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
The Bulldogs will be back in action tonight when they'll host the Charlotte Checkers at FirstOntario Centre at 7:30 p.m.
