Amarillo Gorillas News Release
Amarillo, TX - The Amarillo Gorillas will be honoring their mascot 'Stomp' this weekend, in home games on Saturday and Sunday night against the Colorado Eagles. Stomp, who has been voted as the 'Best Mascot in the CHL' for the last three years running, will be in attendance all weekend and fans can get their hands on limited-edition Stomp Bobble-heads on Saturday night. The first 1,000 fans to the game will receive free bobble-heads courtesy of Panhandle Tickets, and the Gorillas will be offering 50 cent hotdogs ALL WEEKEND LONG! Also, Stomp wanted to make it easy for his biggest fans to come out to the game, so the Gorillas will be offering special $2 tickets for children under 15 (with the purchase of an adult ticket)! So get to the game early on Saturday night (game night sponsored by Sonic Drive-In) to get your Stomp bobble-head, and enjoy 50 cent hotdogs both Saturday and Sunday night. Plus kids get in for just $2 all weekend to come see their favorite mascot in action.
Amarillo will face off against the Colorado Eagles for the fourth and fifth times this season, having gone 1-2-0 against them so far in three meetings this year. All time, the Gorillas are 7-13-0 against Colorado, but they have fared much better against the Eagles at the Amarillo Civic Center with a record of 6-3-0 as opposed to their 1-10-0 mark when playing on the road at the Budweiser Events Center.
