Rage Climb into Second in CHL Coaches Poll

Broomfield, Colo. - The Rocky Mountain Rage garnered six first-place votes while climbing one spot into second place in the latest Central Hockey League Coaches Poll which was released today. The club was just edged out by the Youngstown SteelHounds, who retain the top spot for the second consecutive poll with record of 13-2-1 and a league-high 27 points in the standings.

Although the Rage finished second in the poll up from third two weeks ago, their 12-1-1 record, which has been bolstered by the CHL's longest current winning streak of seven games, still gives them the league's best winning percentage of .893. Complete poll results are listed below.

Rocky Mountain puts its winning streak on the line tonight by facing off with the fifth-ranked Arizona Sundogs at Broomfield Event Center at 7:05 p.m. The first 2,500 fans through the door will receive a pair of Thundersticks courtesy of 9 News.

The CHL Top 10 Coaches Poll will be released on the 1st and 15th of each month through the season. Each first place vote receives 10 points, second place earns nine points, etc.
