Good Morning Acadiana will go live Tuesday from Cajundome

Lafayette, LA – KATC's "Good Morning Acadiana" will broadcast live from the Cajundome Tuesday from 5-7 a.m. to promote the Louisiana IceGators' Saturday, Oct. 18 home opener against Mississippi. Tom Voinche, Candice Gale and Dave Baker will do the show from the floor of the Cajundome.

"We're excited to promote ‘GMA on Ice' to promote the IceGators home opener," said Shelley Kilburn, Good Morning Acadiana's executive producer. "Join us from 5-7 a.m. Tuesday and see Tom, Candice and Dave live on skates."

GMA will go on the air at 4:57 with KATC staff introductions, and will host nine interview segments, including interviews with general manager Brian Kelley, head coach Dave Farrish and two players. There will also be a pair of cooking segments with Quintess Catering.

"We are delighted to partner with KATC to host ‘GMA on Ice,'" said Kelley. "Hopefully all of our fans will arise early and watch the full two-hour show. It is a way for Acadiana to further get introduced to our staff, coaches and players."

Louisiana opens the season at Mississippi on Friday, Oct. 17, at 7:35 p.m., before the Sea Wolves make a return trip for the IceGators' home opener Saturday, Oct. 18 at 7:05 p.m. Individual tickets, starting at just $10 for adults and $9 for kids (ages 2-12 in any level) are now on sale at the Cajundome Box Office and Ticketmaster outlets. Opening Night will feature a Chris Valicevic jersey retirement ceremony. Full season ticket packages, half season plans and Ice Packs are also on sale now and can be purchased by calling (337) 234-4423. Full season packages start at just $288, while children ages 4-12 can have season tickets for only $225 in any level, including rink side, with an adult purchase.
