Greensboro Generals News Release

Greensboro, NC -- The Greensboro Generals have announced head coach/general manager Rick Adduono will appear on the "Our Town" radio show (WGOS 1070-AM) each Monday afternoon beginning October 13. The half-hour "Coaches Corner" will air each Monday at 1:00 PM throughout the season.

The "Coaches Corner" segment is part of the WGOS' "Our Town" program that is hosted by "Buffalo" Jack Umlaluf and Ogi Overman weekdays from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The show will feature interviews with Adduono as well as segments with Generals players and their involvement in the community.

"We want to have the listeners know who the players and coaches are. I am a hockey guy, I played the game for 30 years," said Buffalo Jack. "I love the game. The more aware that the people are about a team such as the Generals, and head coach Rick Adduono, the more people that will be in the seats,"

The Generals will play in the expanded ECHL's Eastern Conference in the newly aligned Southern Division along with Augusta, Charlotte, Columbia, Florence, Florida, Greenville, Gwinnett, Roanoke and South Carolina. Greensboro will open the year with back-to-back home games. The home opener is against the South Carolina Stingrays on October 17th at 7:30 PM. Next up is the newly formed Texas Wildcatters who visit the Greensboro Coliseum for the first time on October 23rd at 7:30 PM.

Individual tickets for all Greensboro Generals 2003-04 home games are on sale now. Tickets may be purchased at the Coliseum advance box office, all participating Triad area Lowes Foods locations, on-line at www.tickets.com and by calling toll free (888) 397-3100.
