Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots, under the new ownership group of Hockey Enterprises of Pensacola L.L.C. with the sole owner Tim Kerr, announced that goalie Scott Dickie has been called up to Springfield of the AHL and defenseman Jeremy Van Hoof and goalie Evgeny Konstantinov have been assigned to the Ice Pilots from Tampa Bay of the NHL.
Van Hoof, who stands 6'2" and weighs 208 pounds, played in 66 games for the Ice Pilots last season scoring 4 goals, 5 assists for 9 points and picked up 51 penalty minutes and played in 4 games for Springfield of the AHL picking up 6 penalty minutes. He played in 72 games for the Ice Pilots during the 2001-2002 season scoring 2 goals, 14 assists for 16 points and picked up 86 penalty minutes.
Van Hoof played! for Ottawa in the OHL from 1998-2001 playing in 185 games scoring 5 goals, 41 assists for 46 points and picked up 166 penalty minutes. He was drafted twice by Pittsburgh in the 2nd round and the 57th overall player taken in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft and by Tampa Bay in the 7th round and 222nd overall player taken in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Van Hoof is 22 years old from Lindsay, Ontario and shoots left.
Konstantinov, who stands 6'1" and weighs 180 pounds, played in 39 games last year with Springfield of the AHL posting a record of 13-23-1 and a 3.24 goals against average and played in one game with Tampa Bay in the NHL posting a 3.00 goals against average.
Konstantinov played in 24 games for the Ice Pilots during the 2001-2002 season posting a record of 10-10 with a 3.47 goals against average and .901 save percentage. He has also played for Louisiana in the ECHL, Detroit in the IHL and Kazan Ak-Bars in Russia.
Konstantinov was selected in the 3rd round and the 67th overall player selected in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft by Tampa Bay. He is 22 years old from Kazan, Russia.
The Ice Pilots play their first preseason game of the season tonight at home vs. Louisiana at 7:05 p.m. and will play Louisiana again tomorrow night at home at 7:05 p.m. Cost for tickets for the preseason games are $10 for floor and glass, sides and behind the goals and $5 for lower upper and upper level tickets.
Fans can purchase individual game tickets in person at the Civic Center box office, at any Ticketmaster location, Charge by Phone at 434-7444 or through the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com.
The Ice Pilots begin the regular season at home on Saturday night, October 18th vs. Columbus at 7:05 p.m. Individual regular season game tickets cost $22 for floor and glass, $15 for sides, $13 for behind the goal and lower upper level and $10 for upper level tickets.
Season tickets are on sale for all 36 home games. The cost of season tickets are $599.88 for floor and glass, $431.88 for sides, $395.88 for behind the goal and lower upper level seats and $299.88 for upper level seats.
Fans can also choose to buy the 16 game plan, 8 game plan and flex pack. Year round monthly payments for full season tickets are as low as $24.99 and year round monthly payments on the 16 game plan are as low as $12.50 per month. Season tickets along with corporate sponsorship packages are available by calling the Ice Pilots office at 432-7825.
