Goldeyes Sign Rookie Outfielder Adams

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Goldeyes signed rookie outfielder Blake Adams on Friday.

Adams recently finished his college career at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. A native of Dallas, Texas, Adams batted .390 with 17 home runs and 69 RBI in 52 games as a senior this past spring. Adams also scored 74 runs, while contributing 16 doubles, three triples, 14 stolen bases, and 34 walks. The 22-year-old Adams earned NCAA All-American honours in 2018.

Adams hit a combined .363 during two seasons for the Tarleton State Texans after beginning his college career at Navarro Junior College in Corsicana, Texas.

On Thursday, the Goldeyes released outfielder Dexter Kjerstad.

The Goldeyes' active roster currently stands at 22 players.

The Winnipeg Goldeyes open a three-game series at home tonight against the Sioux City Explorers.
