Winnipeg Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced today the club has claimed right-handed pitcher Brad Mincey off waivers from the Wichita Wingnuts, signed right-handed pitcher Mike Noteware and placed right-handed pitcher Dustin Loggins on the disabled list.

Mincey, 26, went 0-3 with a 5.89 ERA in 18 appearances out of the bullpen. He was selected by the Florida Marlins in the 28th round of the 2011 MLB Amateur Draft. He played three seasons in their system. His best year was in 2012 when he went 3-2 with a 2.73 ERA and seven saves in 45 games with Class A Greensboro of the South Atlantic League.

Noteware, 24, started this season with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, going 1-3 with a 7.07 ERA and one save in 18 relief appearances. He made his professional debut last season in the New York Yankees system in the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League. In 19 relief appearances with Yankees 2, he went 3-0 with a 3.03 ERA and five saves. He also appeared in one game with Class A-Advanced Tampa.

The Goldeyes have 22 players on their active roster, including 12 pitchers and 10 position players.

Winnipeg continues a four-game series tonight in Fargo at 7:00 p.m. The game can be heard on Jewel 100.5 with Steve Schuster.

The Goldeyes will return home on Friday night to open a four-game series with the first-place St. Paul Saints.
