
Golden State Warriors Assign Guard Jacob Evans III to Santa Cruz

SANTA CRUZ, CA - The back-to-back NBA Champion Golden State Warriors announced today that guard Jacob Evans III has been assigned to the Santa Cruz Warriors, the team's NBA G League affiliate. Warriors two-way guard Damion Lee has also re-joined Santa Cruz as part of his two-way contract.
Evans III, who was selected with the 28th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, has appeared in 18 games with Golden State this season, averaging 0.5 points, 0.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 4.6 minutes per game. Evans has also appeared in two games (both starts) for Santa Cruz this season, logging 8.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 19.0 minutes per contest.
In 15 games with Golden State, Lee has averaged 4.9 points on 45.5 percent shooting from the field (25-of-55 FG) and 43.3 percent from behind the arc (13-of-30 ) to go along with 1.9 rebounds in 12.7 minutes per game. The third-year NBA G League veteran also owns season averages of 25.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.4 steals in 36.7 minutes across five games with Santa Cruz.
Per NBA rules, teams are permitted to sign two players to two-way contracts in addition to the 15-man regular-season roster. Lee is able to accrue no more than 45 days of service with Golden State during the NBA regular season, spending the remainder of his season with the Santa Cruz Warriors.
The Santa Cruz Warriors will host the Erie Bayhawks tonight at Kaiser Permanente Arena (tip-off 7:00 p.m.), with the team welcoming fans to wear their favorite pajamas to the game and donate a new pair of sleepwear to Project Pajamas, which provides pajama sets to children currently in foster homes, homeless shelters and 'outside the home' living situations.
