Indiana Mad Ants News Release
OKLAHOMA CITY - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants (7-7) defeated the Oklahoma City Blue, 113-94, at the Cox Convention Center on Saturday night. Rob Gray came off the bench to pour in a new career-high 31 points on 10-of-14 shooting. It is the second 30-point game from a Mad Ants player this season.
Oklahoma City (13-4) began the game on a 10-4 run. Fort Wayne would respond with a 27-9 run the rest of the first quarter and never relinquished the lead.
Stephan Hicks finished with 20 points and seven rebounds. It is his fifth 20-point performance of the season.
Davon Reed and Tra-Deon Hollins both fell just short of a double-double against leaders in the midwest division. Reed ended with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Hollins recorded 10 points to go along with nine assists.
Travin Thibodeaux aided the frontcourt effort for Fort Wayne as Pacers assignee Ike Anigbogu was ruled out prior to the game with a right pinky injury sustained in Thursday's loss to Westchester. Thibodeaux scored his first points of the season, ending with nine points and a team-high 13 rebounds.
Jared Sam earned his first start of his career and recorded eight points and seven rebounds in just under 29 minutes.
Richard Solomon and Dez Wells led the Blue offense with 24 and 20 points each. Bryce Alford ended with 17 points in 36 minutes of action off the bench.
Fort Wayne will host Rio Grande Valley on Monday night, while Oklahoma City will take on Grand Rapids at the G League Showcase in Las Vegas on Friday.
Monday will be a Money Monday, presented by 3 Rivers Federal Credit Union, at the Coliseum. Tickets are available by visiting ftwaynemadants.com or calling 260-469-4667.
