Godard Recalled, DiPietro Reassigned

WINNIPEG, MB - The American Hockey League's 2001-02 Regular Season Champion and Eastern Conference Playoff Champion Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the recall of Right Wing Eric Godard by the Islanders. The Sound Tigers have also announced the reassignment of Goaltender Rick DiPietro to the team by the Islanders.

Godard has posted 19 penalty minutes in four games with the Islanders, as well as two goals, two assists, four points and a team-leading 119 penalty minutes in 29 games with the Sound Tigers this season. DiPietro is 1-1 with a 2.02 goals against average and .920 save percentage in two games with the Islanders, as well as 10-7-6 with three shutouts, a 2.18 goals against average and .922 save percentage in 23 games with the Sound Tigers this season.

The Sound Tigers will visit the Manitoba Moose tomorrow at 5 p.m. They will return home to host the Hershey Bears Friday at 7:35 p.m. and the Hartford Wolf Pack Saturday at 7:05 p.m. during "Pride In America Weekend" at the Arena at Harbor Yard. All games are broadcast live on "The ZONE" FOX Sports Radio 1300 and at www.soundtigers.com. WSTC/WNLK 1400/1350 also carries road games.
