Wanvig Reassigned to Aeros

HOUSTON - Houston Aeros President and General Manger Dave Barr announced today that the Minnesota Wild (National Hockey League) has reassigned RW Kyle Wanvig (WON-vihg) to the Aeros. Wanvig rejoins the American Hockey League club for tonight's game against the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks at Compaq Center. Game time is 7:00 PM.

Wanvig, 21 (1/29/81), made his NHL debut against the Vancouver Canucks on November 25 and tallied his first career NHL goal on December 17 versus the Edmonton Oilers. The 6-foot-2, 219-pound right wing appeared in seven contests for the Wild recording five shots and 13 penalty minutes. Before being recalled by the Wild for the second time on December 15, he played in 25 games for Houston. He is tied for third on the Aeros with 10 goals and has added nine assists for 19 points.
