Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Monday announced that goaltender Chad Alban has been released from his professional tryout.
Alban, who will return to the United Hockey League's Kalamazoo Wings, appeared in two games for the Griffins, posting a 1-0 record with a 2.34 goals against average and a 0.893 save percentage.
