Milwaukee Admirals News Release

NEW TIME. SAME GREAT ACTION...So that fans can enjoy both the Milwaukee Admirals game with the Grand Rapids Griffins and be able to catch the Packers playoff game Saturday night, the Admirals have moved the starting time for Saturday's game to 2:12 Saturday afternoon. The move was made possible because of the cooperation of the Bradley Center administration and the Grand Rapids Griffins. The game was originally scheduled for a 7:12 start. Following the Admirals' game against the Grand Rapids Griffins Saturday, fans will be able to come on to the ice and take pictures of their favorite players. Also Saturday, the first 5000 fans will receive a Team Autographed Pennant courtesy of the Sports Medicine Institute of Aurora Health Care and one lucky fan will win $1000 in the M&I Bank Fantastic Plastic Payoff.

IT'S A LOCK...Thursday night the Admirals are guaranteeing their fans a win over their arch-rivals, the Chicago Wolves. If for some reason the Wolves find a way to win, all fans attending Thursday's game will be able to redeem their ticket stub for a free ticket to Saturday afternoon's game against the Griffins.

VS. BARONS...Tonight's game marks the third meeting of the year between the Milwaukee Admirals and the Cleveland Barons as the two teams face-off at the Gund Arena in Cleveland. The first two games have gone to overtime with the Admirals winning in Cleveland on November 30th. The two teams skated to a 3-3 tie in Milwaukee October 18th. All-time vs. the Barons, Milwaukee is 3-2-1-0 with a road mark of 1-2-0-0.

VS. WOLVES...For the final time this season, the defending Calder Cup Champion and arch-rival Chicago Wolves will make an appearance at the Bradley Center when the two teams face-off Thursday night. The Admirals own a 4-4-0-1 record through the first nine games of the 12-game season series against Chicago. Last Thursday's 4-3 win over the Wolves at the Bradley Center snapped a four game Chicago winning streak in the season series. Overall, Milwaukee is 46-33-1-9 against the Wolves with a Bradley Center mark of 27-16-0-5. In one-goal games against the Wolves, the Admirals are 26-12-0-9.

VS. GRIFFINS...Saturday afternoon the Admirals and Grand Rapids Griffins meet for the first time at the Bradley Center and the fourth time overall. In the three games at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, the Admirals are 1-1-1-0. The next three contests in the six game season series will be held at the Bradley Center. Milwaukee snapped a five game winless streak at Grand Rapids with a 6-1 win Saturday night. Milwaukee is 17-23-5-2 all-time against the Griffins.

ROSTER REVISIONS...Goaltender Brian Finley was recalled by the Nashville Predators Sunday and netminder Jan Lasak will return from Nashville for tonight's game. Center Vern Fiddler was recalled Thursday and left wing Darren Haydar, defenseman Andrew Hutchinson and right wing Konstantin Panov were all added to the roster last week.

ROAD POWER...The Admirals rank second among AHL teams in road power play percentage (22.2%). The team has scored 22 of their 32 power play goals on the road including 15 of their last 17 power play tallies.

A GAGGLE OF GOALIES...Dan Murphy became the fifth Admirals' goaltender of the season when he started Friday night's game vs. Houston. All five goalies have played within the last ten games. Jan Lasak started 16 of the first 19 games and was called-up to Nashville December 12th. Chris Madden and Brian Finely have each started five games. Brant Nicklin started one game for Milwaukee. The Admirals used only three goalies in all 80 games last season.

DUELING IN THE DIVISION...Through 20 games against West Division foes, Milwaukee is 11-7-1-1 and owns break-even or better records against all four divisional opponents. The overall breakdown includes a perfect mark against Utah (2-0-0-0) and winning records against Houston (2-1-0-0) and San Antonio (3-2-0-0). The team has broken even against Chicago (4-4-0-1).

WYATT AND HOLIDAY STILL A LETHAL COMBO...Center Wyatt Smith has sizzled during this holiday season. Since December 19th, Smith has scored seven goals in five games including a road hat trick at the Van Andel Arena Saturday night. He leads the team with three game-winning goals and has scored ten goals in just 16 games.

BETTER BREAD. BETTER SUBS. EVEN BETTER DEAL...During the month of January, fans can take advantage of a great food, beverage and ticket deal through Cousin's Subs. Fans can order 4- Admirals' tickets, 4-Cousin's Subs and 4-soft drinks for just $48. The Cousin's Subs Special is good for any Admiral home game during January.
