Gnats and Jackets Doubleheader Cancelled

Savannah, Ga.- The Augusta GreenJackets and the Savannah Sand Gnats have been officially rained out and will not play Saturday's doubleheader. The games will not be made up.

Heavy rains in the area made the field unsafe for players.

Sunday's game will not be a doubleheader, and will go on as scheduled.

All tickets purchased to Saturday's game will now be rain checks available for exchange for any 2014 regular season game pending availability.

Boy Scout Night brought to you by Arrow Exterminators will go on as scheduled.

The Sand Gnats will close out the first half by sending RHP Chris Flexen (3-5, 5.43 ERA) to the mound opposite GreenJackets RHP Chase Johnson (1-5, 5.56 ERA) on Sunday for a 2:05 p.m. first pitch.

Gates to Historic Grayson Stadium open at 1:00 p.m. Kids 12 and under and under will receive a free hot dogs, chips, and soda as part of Kia Country Kids Eat Free. The radio pregame show on News/Talk 630 and sandgnats.com begins at 1:45 pm.
