All-Star Game Umpires Announced

CLEARWATER, FL-Eric Krupa, president of the South Atlantic League, has announced the umpires for the 55th Annual SAL All-Star Game, scheduled to be played on June 17, 2014, at L.P. Frans Stadium in Hickory, North Carolina, home of the Hickory Crawdads.

Working the game behind home plate will be Tucker Beneville, who resides in Efland, North Carolina. Tucker is in his third year of professional umpiring including experience in the Gulf Coast and Appalachian Leagues before joining the South Atlantic League in 2014.

The first base umpire will be Jeff Gorman, who resides in Hayward, California. Jeff is in his second year of professional baseball umpiring including experience in the Northwest League before joining the South Atlantic League in 2014.

Rich Grassa will be the second base umpire. Rich resides in Lindenhurst, New York, and he is in his second year of professional baseball umpiring including experience in the New York-Penn League before joining the South Atlantic League in 2014.

Completing the crew, and working at third base will be Derek Gonzales. Derek resides in Orem, UT. He is in his third year of professional baseball umpiring including experience in the Arizona and Pioneer Leagues before joining the South Atlantic League in 2014.
