DULUTH, GA - A day after recording a hat trick, Gladiators forward Derek Nesbitt picked up two more goals in a 5-2 Gwinnett win Saturday night in front of 5,380 fans at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.

Nesbitt has at least a point in each of the Gladiators first four games, and has nine points (five goals, four assists) over that span.

Chris Carrozzi won his second start of the season between the pipes for Gwinnett, stopping 32 of 34 shots faced.

Nesbitt opened the scoring just 15 seconds into the game, hammering home a rebound in front for his fourth goal of the season.

Florida drew even at the 8:32 mark as Alexandre Imbeault threw a puck to the front of the net from a bad angle and had it ricochet in off Carrozzi's skate.

9:05 into the 2nd the Gladiators once again took the lead, as Ryan Garbutt buried a loose puck in the crease on the powerplay.

The Blades came right back with a powerplay tally of their own at 14:27, as Imbeault struck again for his sixth of the season and second of the evening to tie it up at 2-2.

The Glads took their third and final lead of the night in the third, as Garbutt took a shot from the slot that squirted by the goalie Janus and right to Nesbitt who scored his second of the game for a 3-2 edge.

Just 50 seconds later Danick Paquette beat Janus point blank on a nice setup by Michael Davies to push the lead to 4-2. It was Paquette's first goal as a pro, and Davies' second assist of the game.

Tim Miller added a short-handed empty netter late to cap the 5-2 Gladiators win.

Gwinnett is back in action next Thursday, as they'll start a three game trip in Trenton at 7:00 pm.
