Gladiators Add Harvard Forward

DULUTH, Ga. - The Gwinnett Gladiators announced Thursday that forward Marshall Everson has been signed to an ECHL contract.

Everson (pronounced, EVE-er-son), 23, most recently spent time with the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League,playing in the final two games of their 2012-13 season.

Prior to that, Everson played for four seasons with Harvard University of the Eastern College Athletic Conference. In 119 total games with the Crimson, the Edina, Minnesota-native tallied 31 goals and 32 assists for 63 points.

In his junior year, Everson finished second among Harvard forwards with 32 points (13g, 19a). He was also an ECAC Hockey All-Academic selection and a semifinalist for the Walter Brown Award, which is presented to the best U.S.-born college hockey player in New England. Everson led the Crimson in goals his senior year with 11.

The Gladiators are members of the ECHL, the nation's premier "AA" hockey league and are affiliated with the Phoenix Coyotes of the NHL. All home games are played at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
