San Francisco Bulls News Release

ONTARIO, Calif., - The San Francisco Bulls (2-5-1-0) lost in a tightly contested matchup against the Ontario Reign (4-0-1-2), to a final score of 2-0, Wednesday night at Citizens Business Bank Arena. The Bulls simply couldn't solve Reign netminder Michael Hutchinson, who pitched the shutout. J.P. Anderson was the tough-luck loser for San Francisco, stopping 23-of-24 shots.

The game started off slowly before Ontario struck first on a goal from Zach O'Brien with 3:36 remaining in the first period. Through 20 minutes, Ontario led 1-0, and held the edge in shots, 8-4.

In the second period the Bulls picked up the pace, out-shooting the Reign 9-8, but couldn't find the back of the net. Heading into the final period, the deficit remained 1-0.

Despite multiple golden opportunities, including a 5-on-3 power play, Hutchinson once again stood tall in the third, blanking San Francisco. Dan DaSilva scored an empty net goal with 19 seconds remaining in the game to secure the victory.
