Greenville, SC - Fresh off of a 3-2-1-0 six game home stand, the Florida Everblades are back on the road Friday as they open up a two-game series at 7:00pm against the Greenville Road Warriors at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
It is only the second game the Blades have played in Greenville this season, the last being a 3-2 overtime win on January 3.
Florida enters Friday's tilt fresh off of a 3-0 blanking of last-place Gwinnett, a win that snapped the Blades' defensive skid of allowing four or more goals in ten consecutive games.
In three contests last week, the forward line of Trevor Bruess, Kyle Bonis and Brandon MacLean combined for six goals and 10 assists, including a short-handed strike from MacLean.
The last time the Blades and Warriors met, the Blades went 2-1-0-0 in a three-game home set that featured two 5-4 shootout victories in Southwest Florida.
Over the course of the series, Greenville got 13 total goals, with nine of them coming from Marc-Olivier Vallerand, Jordie Johnston and Scott Arnold (three each). Of Johnston's 17 goals in 2013-14, seven have come at the expense of the Everblades.
Greenville comes into Friday with momentum of their own after taking two of three from the Eastern Conference-leading South Carolina Stingrays-including a 4-1 win in North Charleston on Saturday.
Friday's road trip opener will be broadcast live online at FloridaEverblades.com and on the Everblades' app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, with a video webcast available through America ONE, the official broadband and mobile broadcaster of the ECHL, at www.americaonesports.com. Pregame coverage will get under way at 6:45pm.
