After facing the Reading Royals for three straight games, the Solar Bears move on to take on the Elmira Jackals tonight. Orlando and Elmira first came together this season when Orlando collected at 5-3 victory at the Amway Center on November 10, but the Jackals got retribution at First Arena with a victory on December 14. The Solar Bears were in action last night against Reading, and despite firing 26 shots on goal they could not solve G Riley Gill in a 3-0 loss to the Royals. Elmira was idle yesterday, but suffered a 4-2 loss at the hands of the Trenton Titans on Thursday night. The Jackals scored the lone goal of the first period but Trenton struck for four consecutive goals to take a 4-1 lead just before the halfway point of the third period. Elmira added a final goal late in the frame for the final 4-2 score. D Michael Wilson is Orlando's active points leader against Elmira, with three assists in two games.

C Dale Mahovsky was activated from the 21-day IR this week and last night appeared in his first game since February 2... The Solar Bears played their first road game since February 9 last night, and their first game outside of Florida since January 27... F Michael Lysyj and D Michael Jordan made their Solar Bears debuts yesterday. Jordan played in both preseason games for the Solar Bears in early October... Forward C.J. Severyn had his three game point streak (2 goals, 1 assist) snapped yesterday... F Chris Lawrence was not dressed yesterday and is not expected to play tonight... C Mathew Sisca was placed on the 21-day IR earlier this week... D Jesse Dudas was placed on the 21-day IR last week... G Mike Brodeur, D Josh Caron, F Dan Dries, and D Sean Lorenz remain on the 21-day IR.

F Andrew Rowe is 16th in the ECHL with 56 points... F Kevin Harvey ranks fifth in the league with 41 minor penalties... F Jordan Pietrus is third in the league with 227 shots on goal... F Matt Carter is tied for first with five shootout goals... D Kyle Bushee is is seventh among ECHL defensemen with 31 points... D Jordan Southorn tied for fourth among defensemen with a +22 rating... The Jackals are fourth in the league scoring 3.43 goals per game... Elmira is 13th on the power play at 18.1 percent (41-for-226) and 13th on the penalty kill at 82.4 percent (197-for-239)...
