ELMIRA, N.Y. - March 9, 2013 - The Elmira Jackals have returned home from a five game road trip and are prepared to host the Orlando Solar Bears for the final time this season. The Jackals have seven home games and four road games left this season.
WHO: Elmira Jackals - Ottawa/NHL & Binghamton/AHL (33-21-7) vs. Orlando Solar Bears - Minnesota/NHL and Houston/AHL (26-29-5).

The Jackals are facing the Solar Bears tonight for the third, and final, time this season and second of two at First Arena. The Jackals are 1-1-0 against the expansion Solar Bears with the one win coming at home. While both team's rosters look drastically different, the Jackals have had a lot of offensive success against Orlando this season. They are averaging four goals per game against their southern foes as well as 39.5 shots per game. Tonight Orlando is playing the second of three games in three days against the Atlantic Division, and second of six straight away from home. The Solar Bears are 6-5-0 against the Atlantic this season (0-4-0 on road) while Elmira is 7-5-1 against the South (4-1-0 at home).
While injuries and call ups have forced the Jackals to use multiple different lineups over the last six weeks, two players have remained a constant presence. Rob Bellamy and Jordan Pietrus remain as the only two Jackals to have dressed in each of the team's 61 games. Pietrus needs to play in six more games to surpass his career high of 66 divided last season between Trenton (6) and Elmira (59). Bellamy set his career high at 63 last season with the Jackals.
