ROSTER UPDATE:

G Tim Potter was added today as Emergency Back-Up Goaltender... G Josh Johnson was placed on 3-IR Wednesday... D Raymond Eichenlaub was activated from 3-IR today... D Bobby Davey was acquired by the Condors from Stockton for future considerations on Jan. 21... Also on Jan. 21, D Eric Regan was reassigned by the Anaheim Ducks to the Condors, from San Antonio (AHL), and D Sasha Pokulok signed a Professional Try-Out contract (PTO) with the Springfield Falcons in the American Hockey League.

THE MATCHUP:

The Bakersfield Condors and Idaho Steelheads meet for the first time this season, opening a two-game series this weekend, and a seven-game season series. The two clubs have both led their divisions since the start of the 2009-10 season, and are separated by just one point in the National Conference standings, with the Steelheads holding a one-point lead. The 1st place team in the conference at the end of the season will receive a first round bye for the Kelly Cup Playoffs. The Condors are 35-49-10 in 94 all-time games against Idaho, including a 22-21-5 mark at home.

CONDORS NOTES:

Bakersfield has the ECHL's best home record (16-4-0,.800) and has just two home losses since Oct. 30... The Condors are 2nd in the league in wins (4), when trailing after two periods... The Condors have surrendered only three power play goals in the last eight games (92.3%), but have not scored a power play goal in four games (0 for 17), their longest stretch since Jan., 2007... Bakersfield is 12-5-1 against the West Division, including 7-2-0 at home... C Gino Guyer needs two points for 100 in his professional career... C Adam Naglich has a four-game point streak (3g-3a)... G Timo Pielmeier is alone atop the ECHL with 19 wins.

Tonight the first 3,000 fans will get Set #3 of the Condors Trading Card Series, sponsored by 29 Eyewitness News and U.S. Army. There will be five Trading Card nights this season, with the others coming on Feb. 19 and Apr. 2.
