THE MATCHUP:
The Condors won their 9th consecutive home game last night, 3-1 against Utah, breaking the old mark of eight straight, set in 2005-06. Since Feb. 6 of last season, Bakersfield is 23-5-2 in their last 30 home games. The Condors and Grizzlies are meeting for the third time this season tonight, in what is an eight-game season series. However, this is the last home game of the series, with the next five meetings at the E-Center just outside of Salt Lake City. The Condors travel to Utah next weekend for a two-game set. Utah took the first game, 6-3 back on Oct. 30 at Rabobank Arena - the last time the Condors lost on home ice. Bakersfield is 22-9-0 all-time against the Grizzlies, including a 7-2-0 record in 2008-09, and has never lost a season series with Utah.
PROMOTIONAL NOTES:
The Condors will don special Pearl Harbor memorial jerseys for a Jersey Raffle & Auction tonight, sponsored by KUZZ 107.9, American Business Machines and Bud Light. The jerseys will be auctioned off to raise money for the California Brain Injury Association. Five of the jerseys will be raffled off for free to random fans in attendance.
