ANCHORAGE, Alaska-- Matt Robinson scored twice and Brett Hemingway added a goal and two assists as Stockton claimed its third straight victory with a 6-4 decision over Alaska in front of 5,780 Friday at Sullivan Arena.

The loss marked just the second for the Aces in nine home games this season (5-2-2). At 11-10-2 overall, Alaska dropped 16 points behind West Division leader Idaho, now 19-4-2 after a 2-1 win over Ontario Friday. Military Appreciation Weekend at Sullivan Arena continues tomorrow night at 7:15 p.m., while Sunday's series finale begins at 5:05 p.m. and features a post-game "Skate with the Aces," presented by Fred Meyer.

Both games will be broadcast live on KFQD 750 AM.

The Aces scored first Friday night, as B.J. Crum registered his first goal in 50 games with the club, a wrist shot from the left point that slipped past the glove of Thunder goalie Bryan Pitton at 2:27 of the opening period. Robinson responded with two goals in a span of 1:49, the first coming on a wrist shot from the hash marks in a four-on-four situation, and the second a power play tap-in after a perfect feed from Judd Blackwater.

Trailing 2-1 entering the second period, Alaska wasted no time in reclaiming the lead, tying the game just 33 seconds into the frame on Nick Mazzolini's 11th goal in his last 10 games, and moving ahead 3-2 when Nick Tuzzolino scored unassisted on the power play. Jusin Dacosta answered with the equalizer for Stockton less than 90 seconds later, scoring on a backhander after deking Aces starter Sebastian Dahm from the slot.

Tied at 3-3, the Thunder took the lead for good when Hemingway, released by Alaska last month, scored the tie-breaking goal at 2:55. A Kelly Czuy tip-in four minutes later gave Stockton its first two-goal lead and proved decisive when Matt Stefanishion uncorked a drive from the right half-boards that again found the net behind a screened Pitton's glove with 10:19 still left in regulation. The Aces pulled Dahm with a little more than a minute left in favor of the extra attacker but saw their hopes for the equalizer when J.F. Caudron fired home an empty-netter from center ice shortly thereafter.

Alaska out-shot the visitors 34-29 but fell on home ice to Stockton for only the second time in five years and 15 meetings.
