Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors (15-6-2-0, 32 points) scored once in each period en route to a 3-1 victory over the Utah Grizzlies (14-7-1-0, 29 points) Friday night in front of 5,121 fans at Rabobank Arena. It was the ninth consecutive home victory for the Condors, establishing a new team record.

Defense reigned for Bakersfield in the opening frame. They took the first six shots of the period, and out-shot Utah 15-4 in the stanza. It reached the final minute of the period before the Condors were able to beat Grizzlies G Parker Van Buskirk, with D Eric Regan snapping home his 6th of the season at 19:06.

An early second period tally put the Condors up by two. RW Erick Lizon notched his 1st of the campaign just 34 ticks into the frame to make it 2-0. A one-goal game continued on throughout the final period, when finally the captain delivered. LW Shawn Weller rifled home his 7th of the season at 13:29, with a long-distance wrister to give the Condors a two-goal cushion. Pielmeier did the rest, stopping seven shots in the third and 19 on the night for his 9th win of the season.

The Condors out-shot the Grizzlies 28-20, marking just the fourth time Bakersfield allowed 20 shots or fewer in a game this season.
