OHL Kingston Frontenacs

Game Day Preview: KGN vs PBO

November 7, 2021 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Kingston Frontenacs News Release

The Kingston Frontenacs host the Peterborough Petes in the first afternoon affair of the 2020-21 OHL season at Leon's Centre. Game time is set for 2:00pm in the matchup of the East Division foes.

A 5-4 loss on Friday night to North Bay halted a stretch that saw Kingston not lose in regulation time in six games (4-0-2). Matthew Soto extended a personal point-streak to seven games (2G,9A) with an assist in the loss. His 11 points place the first-year skater just two back of the OHL rookie leaders (13).

The Fronts have taken all four team-points so far with the third of 12 meetings on schedule today. A 3-1 victory in Peterborough in the first game saw the Petes open the scoring before the Frontenacs tallied three straight goals, including two on the power play, during the third period for a 3-1 win on October 16 in Peterborough.

The following day back in the Limestone City saw a 6-1 home-thrashing by the Frontenacs. Francesco Arcuri (1G,3A), Lucas Edmonds (2G,1A) and Maddox Callens (1G,2A) each had big games in the win.

Edmonds has five points (2G,3A) in the two games versus Peterborough. Petes defenceman Samuel Mayer has the only two goals for the maroon and white versus Kingston.

Kingston's offense looks to take advantage of a Petes team allowing the most goals in the OHL averaging 4.72 against, with only one win in six games away from Peterborough. The Frontenacs (3.10) have allowed a goal and a half less per game then today's visitors on average.
