Game Day Preview: Game 20 vs Wenatchee

November 11, 2023 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Medicine Hat Tigers News Release

Medicine Hat, AB - For the first and only time this season, the Medicine Hat Tigers (12-5-1) will welcome the WHL's newest franchise to Co-op Place in the Wenatchee Wild (11-7-1) Saturday night.

Despite the move to the United States, the Wild are well known to the Tigers, formerly the Winnipeg ICE organization before moving during the 2023 offseason. The Tigers and ICE faced off four times in the regular season, with the Tigers picking up a single win, while being swept in the playoffs in round one.

As for the Wild, they're winners of eight of their last nine games played. They dropped a 5-1 decision to the Lethbridge Hurricanes Friday.

Medicine Hat looks for a season high four game winning streak after a 2-1 shootout win in Moose Jaw Friday. Shane Smith scored the eventual winner in the 5th round of the shootout, as the Tigers to be atop the Central Division Standings while tied for 1st in the Eastern Conference.

Game time is set for 7 PM MDT.

Tickets are available for tonight's game.

You can catch the game on your home of the Tigers WILD 94.5, starting with the pre-game show with Gino De Paoli & Lance Doll, starting at 6:30 and puck-drop is set for 7 PM.
