Head-To-Head - The Allen Americans defeated the Idaho Steelheads by a 4-0 score on Wednesday night at Allen Event Center, as goalie Riley Gill earned his second shutout of the season. The same two clubs play a two-game series next weekend in Boise.
All Hail the King - Americans forward Tristan King has a four-game point streak, with three goals and two assists in his last four games. King scored twice in the Americans 4-0 win over Idaho on Wednesday night.
Feeling Festive - The Americans will break out their Holiday Sweaters this afternoon on Ugly Sweater Day at Allen Event Center. The Americans are 1-1 lifetime on Ugly Sweater Day. The team will auction them off after the game.
Not in the Giving Mood - Americans goalie Riley Gill has only given up two goals total in his last three games played; None in his last outing, one against Utah while relieving an injured Joel Rumpel, and one against Rapid City on December 4th.
Top Ten Rookie - Eric Roy had three helpers on Wednesday night in the Americans 4-0 win over Idaho. Roy is in the top ten in rookie scoring in the ECHL at number ten with 17 points.
Idaho Steelheads Notes - The Steelheads ended their three-game losing streak on Friday night with a 4-2 win in Tulsa. Jefferson Dahl scored his team-leading tenth goal of the season in the win. Idaho remains without their top scorer Colton Beck,currently in the American Hockey League with Iowa.
Climb the Highest Mountain - The Allen Americans will play three games in the Mountain Time Zone next week with a game in Colorado next Wednesday night, and two next weekend in Boise, Idaho.
Around The ECHL - The Missouri Mavericks (19-2-0-1) go after their 20th win in 23 games this afternoon when they play the Tulsa Oilers at 4:05 pm. Missouri's last regulation loss came on October 31st in Allen.
