The Mavs led the Oilers 2-1 heading into the second frame, despite trailing 14-7 in shots on goal. The Oilers kept pace with their opportunities in front of the Missouri net, and it paid off with two unanswered goals through the second period. Emerson Clark scored to tie the game 2-2 at 6:34 on a Tulsa power-play. Matt Konan and Dan DeSalvo assisted on the play. Then Ben Walker took the lead for the Oilers at the halfway mark of the frame with the help of Brian Nugent and Brady Ramsay.

Rookie forward Tanner Fritz tied the game once more at 4:13 of the final period on another Missouri man-advantage situation. Rocco Carzo was credited with the lone assist on Fritz's third lamp-lighter of the season.
