TULSA, OK - The Missouri Mavericks franchise record fourteen-game win streak came to a close on Sunday evening against the Tulsa Oilers, leaving the Mavs with the fourth longest win streak in ECHL history. The Mavs 19-3-0-1 record is their best start in franchise history.
The 4-3 regulation loss is the first time the Mavericks have been edged by the Tulsa Oilers in sixty minutes of hockey this season. Missouri had not seen defeat since Oct. 31 on the road against the Allen Americans.

Dan DeSalvo evened the score with the help of Phil Brewer at 6:20, putting the puck past net-minder Parker Milner for a 1-1 game. Sebastien Sylvestre answered back with his own rebound goal at 11:37, aided by Kyle Burroughs and Trevor Ludwig.
The Mavs led the Oilers 2-1 heading into the second frame, despite trailing 14-7 in shots on goal. The Oilers kept pace with their opportunities in front of the Missouri net, and it paid off with two unanswered goals through the second period. Emerson Clark scored to tie the game 2-2 at 6:34 on a Tulsa power-play. Matt Konan and Dan DeSalvo assisted on the play. Then Ben Walker took the lead for the Oilers at the halfway mark of the frame with the help of Brian Nugent and Brady Ramsay.
Rookie forward Tanner Fritz tied the game once more at 4:13 of the final period on another Missouri man-advantage situation. Rocco Carzo was credited with the lone assist on Fritz's third lamp-lighter of the season.
The Mavericks picked up the pace and created several quality opportunities in front of the Oilers' Kevin Carr, but were unable to find the twine again through the remainder of regulation. Tulsa defenseman Mathieu Brisebois scored the final mark of the game at 12:32 on an Oilers power-play, assisted by Matt Konan and Emerson Clark.
