HEAD-TO-HEAD - This is the final meeting of the season between the Thunder and the Grizzlies.
TODAY - Wichita plays its final game in the Salt Lake area this afternoon against the Utah Grizzlies. The Thunder lost on Saturday night to Utah in overtime by the final of 3-2. Wichita earned a point, but remains 14 back of Tulsa for third place in the Central Division. Utah moved seven points ahead of Idaho for first place in the West wth the Steelheads loss to Tulsa.
SHORTIE - Kenton Miller recorded his eighth goal of the season on Saturday night while the Grizzlies were on the power play. Wichita has shorthanded goals in back-to-back games, but has yet to win when recording a shortie this season. Miller extended his point-streak to four games (1g, 3a).
OZ FEELING IT - Landon Oslanksi blasted one on the power play through Matt Hackett on Saturday night, giving him four goals in his last five contests. All four have come on the man advantage, giving him seven power play goals on the season.
STREAKING - Several players are on point-streaks. Eric Springer, who had his first multi-point game of the season last night with two assists, has five helpers in his last four games. Ian Lowe has assists in his last two outings and points in five of his last six (1g, 5a). Kale Kerbashian also has assists in back-to-back games and points in five of his last six (2g, 5a).
SPECIAL TEAMS - Saturday night's game was again dominated by special teams as there were 14-combined power plays. Wichita went 1-for-7 on the power play, extending its streak to finding the back of the net on the man advantage to six games (6-for-31, 19.4%).
OVERTIME - Utah claimed a 3-2 overtime win on Saturday night, dropping Wichita to 1-2 in games decided in the overtime period. Since December 18th, Wichita has played half of its games past regulation, appearing in seven of its last 14 contests that needed either overtime or a shootout. Wichita is 7-6-2-4 in one-goal games this season, tied for third in the league for the most one-goal outcomes.

UTAH NOTES - The Grizzlies are 16-3-0-0 when scoring first and 19-5-1-0 when leading or tied after one...Ryan Faragher is tied for second in wins with 16...Barry Almeida is tied for second with 17 goals and has seven markers in the last three games...Charles Sarault is tied for fourth in assists (25)...Ryan Walters is second in the league in game winning goals (6) and is seventh in shots on goal (117)...
AROUND THE ECHL - There are four other games today in the ECHL. Greenville is at Atlanta. Adirondack takes on Reading. Brampton travels to Elmira. Cincinnati is at Allen.
UP NEXT - Wichita returns home on Friday night to start a three-in-three against the Allen Americans.
