The set-up

The Belleville Senators will puts its six-game point streak on the line tonight as they visit Laval for the final time this season.

Belleville (21-23-2-3) climbed out of eighth spot in the North Division after their 7-6 overtime win against Toronto Tuesday that saw the Sens rise to sixth and only six points out of a playoff spot.

Laval (19-20-4-4) haven't won in their last four contests and sit in last place in the North where they trail Belleville by a point.

The Rocket are 13-7-2-4 at Place Bell this season while the Senators hold a 8-15-2-2 road record.

Roster notes

The Sens made a trade Wednesday as Ottawa flipped forward Max McCormick to Colorado for Jean-Christophe Beaudin who is expected to make his Belleville debut tonight in his home province. He'll wear no. 26 for the Senators.

With tonight being the first game of a 3-in-3, expect Marcus Hogberg to get the start this evening as well as on Sunday against Toronto with Filip Gustavsson getting the nod Saturday.

Jim O'Brien, Boston Leier, Joseph LaBate, Christian Wolanin, Stuart Percy, Justin Falk and Morgan Klimchuk are out for Belleville.

Previous history

Belleville is 3-4 against the Rocket this season with Laval having won the last two match-ups. Of the previous seven games, the home side has won on six occasions. The lone exception was Belleville's 2-1 win in Laval on Oct. 31.

Who to watch

Sens forward Drake Batherson continues to fill the stat sheet as he had four points Tuesday against Toronto and has 12 points (three goals) in his last six games. He leads all Senators in scoring with 37 points this year.

Defenceman David Schlemko has four points (one goal) in his seven games with the Rocket since being reassigned by Montreal but is a -5. The 31-year-old is a veteran of 415 career NHL games.
