TONIGHT
The Stockton Heat and Colorado Eagles face off with the first of four meetings over the next two weeks, beginning a back-to-back in Loveland Friday at 6:05 p.m. PST. Stockton seeks its first post-All Star Break win with the Friday night battle.
ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH
The Heat have enjoyed success against their Pacific Division counterpart so far, taking at least a point in every meeting and winning three of the four games played against the Eagles this year. Stockton took both games of a two-game set in Loveland in November, 5-4 and 4-2.
COMEBACK KIDS
The Heat have erased third-period holes in each of the last four games, though Stockton is 1-3 over that span. Last time out, the Heat erased 1-0 and 2-1 deficits in a Saturday setback against San Jose, and the night before the club clawed back from three goals behind against the Barracuda.
LAZAR STREAKING
The Heat's All-Star has scored in four-straight games, registering two goals and two assists in that span. He has sandwiched two-goal spurts in both weekends around the All-Star Break.
SPECIAL TEAMS FIREWORKS
The special teams battle has been one to watch when Stockton and Colorado get together, Stockton clicking at 5-for-20 and the Eagles at 3-for-13 in the teams' four meetings.
OUTSIDE LOOKING IN
Friday's meeting is between two teams on the outside of the playoff picture looking in, with Colorado in fifth and Stockton sixth in the Pacific. The Eagles currently sit three points out, the Heat 10 back of fourth-place Tucson.
