Coyotes Acquire Pettersson from Nashville in Exchange for Dauphin and Helewka

GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have acquired center Emil Pettersson from the Nashville Predators in exchange for forwards Laurent Dauphin and Adam Helewka.

The 25-year-old Pettersson has registered 11-22-33 and 24 penalty minutes (PIM) in 49 games with the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) this season. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound native of Sundsvall, SE has recorded 24-55-79 and 56 PIM in 121 career games with Milwaukee. He also played in the 2017-18 AHL All-Star game.

Pettersson was originally drafted by the Predators in the sixth round (155th overall) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Dauphin recorded 3-1-4 and 18 PIM in 35 career games with the Coyotes. The 25-year-old has registered 6-14-20 and 42 PIM in 34 games with the Roadrunners this season.

Helewka has recorded 13-18-31and 20 PIM in 41 games with Tucson in 2018-19.

In addition to the trade, the Roadrunners have acquired Jeremy Gregoire from the Milwakee Admirals for future considerations.

The 23-year-old from Sherbrooke, Quebec, has registered five goals and seven assists for a total of 12 points in 45 games this season.

On-The-Ice

The 23-14-4-1 Tucson Roadrunners now hit the road for the team's annual "Gem Show Road Trip", which will see them play six consecutive road games between February 8 and February 20.

Forward Lane Pederson had three points for the club over the weekend, now placing him in a tie for third place in team scoring with 12 goals, 14 assists, totaling 26 points.
