The Saskatoon Blades (12-8-1-0) conclude a 'three-in-three' trip through Alberta, taking on the Central Division-leading Edmonton Oil Kings (15-4-2-1) at Rogers Place.

This is the second of six meetings between the conference rivals this season. Saskatoon overcame a late two-goal deficit in their season series opener on November 9th, and skated to a 4-3 overtime victory over the Oil Kings.

They'll reconvene again on New Years Day in Saskatoon, before playing out the remaining three games in February and March.

Saskatoon heads into Alberta's capital with something to prove, dropping a 7-0 decision in Calgary on Saturday - one day after beating the Red Deer Rebels 3-1.

This is the seventh consecutive game away from home for the Blades, as part of nine straight on the road due to Curling Canada's Olympic Curling Trials.

The Oil Kings are also looking to rebound after dropping a 3-2 decision in Lethbridge on Friday.

Tale of the Tape

San Jose Sharks prospect Tristen Robins completed the heroic comeback on November 9th, scoring the overtime winner against Edmonton at SaskTel Centre to open the season series.

It came after draft-eligible forward Brandon Lisowsky scored back-to-back markers late in the third period to force the extra frame. Edmonton and Saskatoon also collided in pre-season play, with the two teams splitting the two contests.

This is the Blades first trip to Rogers Place since January 5th of 2020 - 693 days ago. The Oil Kings won the season series over Saskatoon that season, claiming seven of a possible eight points.

Grab some grub and catch the game at Wendel Clark's Classic Grill, where they'll be live streaming all 34 away games this season! Look out for their gameday specials and enjoy the game at one of Saskatoon's finest establishments. Boston Pizza is also streaming Blades games throughout the season!
