'Gades Acquire Two from Louisiana

Richmond, VA - The Richmond Renegades have acquired LW Daniel Goneau and D Branislav Kvetan (Kuh-vet) from the Louisiana Ice Gators in exchange for F Martin Bartek and D Milt Mastad. The newcomers are expected to join the Renegades lineup this weekend.

Goneau is in his seventh pro season. He began the year in Europe with the Bracknell Bees. He had 21 goals, 64 points, and 104 PIM in 48 games with Louisiana this season. Goneau also appeared in three games with the Hershey Bears this season. Goneau, a Quebec native, played in 53 NHL games with the New York Rangers. He was a junior hockey teammate of the 'Gades David Brosseau.

Kvetan is in his third season of North American pro hockey. He had nine points and 53 PIM in 53 games with the Ice Gators this season. The 26 year old Kvetan began his pro career in Slovakia.

The 'Gades will conclude a four game road trip with the re-scheduled visit to Atlantic City tonight at 7:05. Following that game Richmond returns to open a five game homestand.
