Greensboro, NC â The Greensboro Generals of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) will look to "Pack the House" when they host the Columbia Inferno on Friday, February 28 at 7:30. As an integral part of the push to "Pack the House," Generals' players, staff, coach Rick Adduono, and several members of the media and community will be living on the roof of Plum Krazy's restaurant from February 20 at 6:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m. on game day, February 28. Plum Krazy's is located at 106 Guilford College Rd., just north of the West Market Street intersection. The following is the schedule of people on the roof, including events that will accompany them (schedule is subject to change).
¨ THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 20: The day will be led by Jack Murphy and 107.5KZL's "Murphy in the Morning" show, as they will base their show around the Generals "Pack the House" night. Guilford County Sheriff B. J. Barnes and Generals co-owner and president Rocco Scarfone will be on the Plum Krazy's roof with live cut-ins throughout the morning show. Jack will also be announcing plans during the show for a special appearance he will be making at the "Pack the House" game on February 28. In the afternoon, Sheriff Barnes has his own radio show on WPETâ950AM, which he will do live from the roof from 2:00 â 3:00. The Generals mascot Sarge will also be on the roof throughout the day.
¨ FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21: Oldies 93 will be the main component of the day, with a very special guest in the afternoon. Oldies 93 will be doing live cut-ins throughout the day from the Plum Krazy's roof, with their afternoon drive disc jockey Randy getting the honor of having Mayor of Greensboro Keith Holliday on hand to help him with his show. Monty Monarch is also expected to be on hand.
¨ SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 22: Saturday is mascot day on the Plum Krazy's roof. The Generals mascots Sarge and General Icenhower will be joined by Monty Monarch and also af2's Greensboro Prowlers mascot Scratch.
¨ SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 23: The Generals sister team, the Greensboro Prowlers of arenafootball2, will take over the roof for the day. Prowlers head coach Steven Jerry be there for the day, joined by several of his new players. The upcoming Prowlers season kicks off at home on Saturday, April 5.
¨ MONDAY, FEBRUARY 24: Generals head coach Rick Adduono will spend the whole day on the roof, joined by Rocco Scarfone. Generals play-by-play announcer Arley Johnson will also be there for the day, and the Generals weekly coaches show The Front Line will air live on location from the Plum Krazy's roof from 6:00 â 7:00 on WPETâ950AM. Monty Monarch and the Generals mascot Sarge are also expected to be on the roof.
¨ TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 25: WGHPâFox 8 Sports Director Rich Brenner will make his rooftop appearance for the day. Rich will also be doing his 5:00 and 6:00 sports reports directly from the roof. For the afternoon and evening, the entire Generals team will be on the rooftop to keep Rich company and help him with his sports reports.
¨ WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 26: WFMY News2 and their sports director Greg Kerr and anchor Rick Pizzo will take center stage on Wednesday. They will have the pleasure of the Greensboro Generals cheerleaders the Ice Girls keeping them company throughout the day, as will Monty Monarch and the Generals mascot Sarge.
¨ THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 27: Rock 92 and the "Two Guys Named Chris" morning show will dedicate their show to "Pack the House" night. Chris Kelly and Chris Demm will have live cut-ins with play-by-play announcer Arley Johnson all morning. Chris Kelly also has a special appearance planned for the game itself on February 28, which will be discussed at length on Thursday morning. For the remainder of the day, all the mascots will take charge of the roof once again.
¨ FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 28: On the final day at Plum Krazy's, 98.7 FM "The Zone" will close out the rooftop. Their afternoon drive jock Bender will air his show around "Pack the House" night, with the icing on the cake coming from WWE's Shawn Michaels, who will appear with Bender for 30 minutes during his show. Greensboro Prowlers cheerleading choreographer and Carolina Panthers cheerleader Dana Zimmer will be on the roof, as will the current Miss Hawaiian Tropic of North Carolina Marcia Buchanan. Monty Monarch, Sarge, and General Icenhower will also be on the roof for the final day.
From the moment the roof sit-in begins at 7:00 a.m. on the 20th until it ends at 6:00 p.m. on game day, a total of ten percent of the ticket sales during that time will be split between two charities, the Make-A-Wish Foundation along with a charity of Kevin Weekes' choice.
