Express Teams up with Martinsville Speedway

ROANOKE, VA â The Roanoke Express and Martinsville Speedway have once again teamed up to provide fans with the opportunity to win tickets to a Winston Cup race at the storied track.
The Express will be giving away three pairs of tickets to the Sunday, April 13, 2003 Virginia 500 at Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, VA. One pair of tickets will be given away during three of the final home games of the regular season. The date's fans have a chance to win the tickets are: Sunday, March 23 vs. Greensboro, Friday, March 28 vs. Richmond, and Saturday, March 29 vs. Reading.
"We think this is a great opportunity to give our fans a chance to be a part of the NASCAR experience at a great race like the Virginia 500." said Mike Lonchar, Vice President of Old Time Hockey, LLC. "We are excited to be working with Martinsville Speedway and hope to continue this partnership in the future."
The NASCAR action at Martinsville Speedway picks up on Friday, April 11 for MW Pole day, which will feature Winston Cup qualifying for the Virginia 500. In addition, qualifying for the Advance Auto Parts 250 Craftsman Truck Series race will be held on the 11th. The Advance Auto Parts 250 will be run on Saturday, April 12.

"There are many similarities between hockey and Winston Cup racing, especially Winston Cup racing at Martinsville Speedway, where there is always plenty of beating and banging in the corners! It's a great way for us to reach our fans and Express fans in the Roanoke Valley."
